Unbolt the two bolts on the side of the commode. When bolts are removed lift the commode up and out of the way. If the tank is connected to the commode, shut off water supply to tank, drain it. After the commode is removed, fetch pager. To replace commode, You will a wax ring or two, available at your local hardware store, insert wax ring. replace commode, and tighten side bolts, be very careful as you can crack the side flanges on the toilet. It has happened to me, very expensive

Although, I agree with LarryG. I had this this to me also. It required a new pump. But, first, check on the the float level, a little round object in front of the dishwasher, push it up and down a couple a times, sometime it gets it clogged with food particles.

I agree with you about not painting. Oak is a very porous wood and is hard to remove deep stains. I think your best bet is to use an ‘oxalic’ bleach remover to remove the previous stain/paint. It will go into the pores and ,I hope, remove what is there. Go to a paint supplier about the product. I don’t think a big box store can give you the infomation that you need.

Yes they make smaller juction boxes for lights and ceiling fans. They are about 1/2 inch thick and are screwed to the ceiling joist like any regular j-box. They are readily available. Ace hardware, Home Depot, etc. carries them.

patMN, I see that nobody answered your question, so I will respond. You can use moly bolts, toggle bolts and many other methods. Not knowing what you are trying to hang, it is hard to guess from here. The best thing to do is go to you local hardware store and ask the sales associate the best way to solve your problem. They are very helpful.

Without a picture or something, I am not sure what the problem is. I agree with a bed that old, keeping it in a pristine condition is worth the trouble. I would try to glue and clamp the split with a good cement to fix that problem. Then how about using a ‘Locking safety bed rail bracket’, such as the one by Rockler. Go to their website, http://www.rockler.com and search for item number 32077. It might solve the problem. HTH
