LarryGParticipant
very interesting.notice vinyl has a higher rating than brick.i thought brick was a good insulator.thanks
LarryGParticipantthe switch only can be replaced however as inexpensive as this fixture is we usually just replace the whole thing.
be sure to turn off the power.
LarryGParticipantthe siding itself? zero unless you use insulated siding.if you install insulated backerboard under regular siding i’m guessing about an r5 which won’t make much difference on your energy bill.siding is installed mostly for enhancing the appearence of your home.
LarryGParticipanthome depot.behr porch and floor enamel.get the high gloss.refer to the color chart that they have there.unlimited color selection.
LarryGParticipantthe trap that bink was talking about is under the sink.see how it’s designed to hold water so no sewer gases come into the room?so if the vent stack is blocked then if you run one drain it could suck the water out of another trap somewhere else in the house.if all the traps are holding water then sometimes you can stop the smell like this:stuff a rag into the drain as far as you can(leaving enough sticking out so you can pull it back out)and pour bleach with a small watering can into the sink overflow(the hole on the upper inside of the sink)and let it set for a while.this has worked for me on more than once.
LarryGParticipantthe only way is to cut.i’ve had problems getting faucets off and have had much success using a dremmel tool(sears brand, bob,)with a reinforced cut off wheel.it gets into really tight places.if you do this wear safety glasses and a dust mask when working under a kitchen sink.replace it with an insinkerator brand and you won’t have this problem next time around. good luck.

how about a pipe repair clamp as a temporary fix? can you shut the water off at the sidewalk? sometimes a stainless steel clamp over a piece of rubber over the hole will suffice as a temp fix also.is it a pinhole leak?really need more info on the situation.visit the website above.you may be able to solder it if you can shut water off.
LarryGParticipantif you can bend it easily then it is lead.
LarryGParticipantinstead of going “straight in”with the pipe try slightly different angles little bit up,little bit down, left, right,if you can feel the elbow inside then you should be able to get it started.keep trying.
LarryGParticipantthat may be the model but i did a web search and couldn’t find anything vaguely similar to what you are talking about.like mine says magic stat, but it is made by honeywell.see if there is any other name on it like robertshaw, honeywell,or something like that then do a web search and see if you come up with anything.most of them have programming instructions right on the thermostat itself i’m surprised yours doesn’t.
LarryGParticipantuse drywall screws and depending on how much drywall you are going to be doing invest in a drywall gun.
LarryGParticipantit depends on the type of pump that your pressure washer employs.do a web search on your brand of washer and see what you come up with.hope this helps.
LarryGParticipantthe switch is shot.
August 9, 2004 at 6:15 am in reply to: How to attach standard incandescent lighting fixtures to standard 2’x4′ grid drop ceilings? #249696LarryGParticipantyou need to install a ceiling box and cut out of a panel and attach the fixture to the box.
LarryGParticipantsometimes there is a tab that you have to break off to get it to match the thickness of the door you are using.
