I have a basic basement light fixture mounted to a beam on the ceiling of the basement. The type is the usual exposed bulb with the typical pull chain.
The chain is stuck to ON and will not pull in or out of the hole that it comes from to switch the light on or off. Do I need to take the fixture apart and fix or replace it completly? Can this be fixed simply without calling an electrician? I am not an expert with this type of thing but can usually handle simple jobs of this type.
