Pulling out white carpet and want to paint the cement flooring instead of laying new carpet. Granddad painted his floors brick red and they looked great, but he’s gone now so I can’t ask what he used. The only flooring paint I’ve found is gray, white or tan… what type of paint can I use to paint the floor that can be colorized to a terra cotta or brick red color? Live in Arizona where it’s generally hot and dry so humidity and or water is generally not an issue.
      Help would be appreciated!

Paint will scratch and peel in no time. What a maintenance nightmare.

Look into concrete stains and acid wash finishes. They penetrate the surface, are much more beautiful and are nearly indestructable.
