LarryGParticipanti would be inclined to believe the water heater is the trouble.but if it only did it one time i would wait before replacing it.
LarryGParticipanti would suspect the water heater has seen it’s day.how old is it? the rod could be rotted away.
LarryGParticipantsome of your kohlers have a left and right stem that you turn the opposite way to close.
LarryGParticipantor try playing with the shutters.

September 13, 2007 at 5:39 pm in reply to: HELP! 2 differing bids to fix our fireplace/chimney #286307LarryGParticipanta stainless steel chimney liner is a good idea.
it would depend on how far it is from the fireplace to the top of the chimney and how steep the roof is to know if the extra $900 is worth what they are giving you.
and are they going to insulate between the liner and the old.
it should be.

those are the brackets.then just get some handrail stock at home depot the length you need.
then find out the height it should be
i think it’s 32″ above the step but i always just set it at a comfortable grab height.brackets must be solid into studs or anchored if into brick.
not hard to do at all(if i can do it)
LarryGParticipantLarryGParticipantwhen they stop working test for power running to them.

LarryGParticipantusually that’s what happens when the eye goes bad.
