Are you really posting from South Africa ?
In the USA we generally have Laws that you can’t cause a neighbor’s water problem
If you’re stuck with the problem….do you have street side drainage aka storm sewers etc. ?

Just add an additional tub-spout diverter……
I had mine like that for nearly 20 years until we decided to replumb.

Simply replace the existing tub spout with a model with a built-in diverter….
This works and sends all the water to the showerhead when needed.

The new energy code restricts the “manufacturer installed” light kits to the candelabra base…..
If you need more light…..change to a ceiling fan that you can install a standard light kit
