The wire that brings 115V to the fan motor would also provide power to additional dinky fan motors. Can’t guarantee not overloading contacts.
The G thermostat connection and the transformer common activate the fan, but again, no guarantee of overloading the thermostat contact.

January 29, 2010 at 8:22 pm in reply to: OK you heat guys, any suggestions on this furnace mod? #304196HKestenholzParticipantUse a fan center relay to power the fans independently of the furnace controls, close the relay from a fan ampere sensing relay when the fan motor runs, a common item to run humidifiers. A bit of fancy thinking required, but no strain to other controls.

HKestenholzParticipantMost dissatisfaction with the device is due to a lack of familarity by both warm air techs and homeowners with hot water heaters used as a heat source.
Unless the tank leaks, all of the system is usable.

HKestenholzParticipantDepending on the wiring of some machines, running the vent before there is a call for heat would prevent the burner from firing, as the pressure switch moves from one position to the other when the pressure changes from atmospheric to negative.

HKestenholzParticipantIf the ties won’t weaken and stretch when in contact with the hot tube, ties can be used. Many plastics deform at 120+. Some nylon ties deform over 200F.

HKestenholzParticipantFor that reason, you’d want an air exchanger that has heat transfer included so the incoming air is heated as much as possible from the exhaust air.

HKestenholzParticipantDear sir, please tell how to get the service manual for that specification. We can’t figure out how to fix it as it isn’t listed anywhere in the world. We can’t see it from here. If you can’t find the real make and model, post pictures so we can guess.

HKestenholzParticipantIs that ALL blowers, or the blower that takes the burnt gases out, or the blower that sends warm air to the house?
If it is the blower that goes on with the gas ignition, then read:
