Mom’s in the process of selling the house and I’m not about to invest any real money in it. I just get tired of the complaining from her. I have a bunch of 24 VAC relays in the garage and I’m just looking for some quick tie in to the existing wiring. Too bad furnaces went to digital control and all that.

It looked like the speed control contacts on PL2 pins 1 and 2 were unused and provided 110 VAC but I’m not sure just when they provided it. It appears that the induction motor relay controls them so I’m hoping the N.O. contacts only close when the furnace is getting ready to run. If that’s the case then the booster fans would only run when the furnace is on. Since she can’t stand the sound of the booster fans with the furnace off, and can’t stand the rooms at 65 then I have little choice. I have to find something or remove the batteries from her hearing aid. 🙂
