    ** I have a westinghouse silhouette [Model POD 632 ARG 3] **

What type of appliance is this? I can find no listing for such a model number to look it up to find out.

Also, it this a North American appliance? (Westinghouse makes or has made appliances all over the world and they are not necessarily all built the same as US ones which we are likely to be most familiar with.)

** Can anyone please forward a wiring diagram **

There should have been one on or in the appliance when it left the factory. Have you tried looking for it?

** The number I listed is on a plate on the left oven face behind the door. **

If it didn’t actually say “Model” or “Model No.” or just “Mo.” it likely isn’t it. Kenmore model numbers are usually all numbers (no letters).

** There is no plate with Model # where they said. **

It is most often on the front face of the appliance where the door/drawer closes against. On some very odd models it may be inside the oven cavity close to the opening but that case is very, very rare. The appliance should NOT have to be pulled out to find it.

There isn’t a lot else we can do without the appliance’s model number to determine whom actually made the appliance. All we can do is guess the F1 fault code might indicate a failed electronic control.

It will also be near impossible to get replacement parts (once it is determined which is responsible) without the actual model number. Sorry

    ** my dishwasher **

I’m afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number. If you post it we can at least look it up to see what appliance design you’re dealing with to try to offer suggestions.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

** dishwasher does not seem to drain the excess water and it just sits at the bottom of the unit. **

** I’ve looked to clear anything from the bottom that might be causing this **

How about the drain hose and plumbing connections?

** older model Kenmore built-in double oven. The only number I can find is on the side of the door and is not designated as a Model#. It is 326B1016P001. **

This is likely the part number of the piece of paper you were looking at. We need the appliance’s actual model number to look up what appliance design you’re dealing with.

    ** began beeping and blinking “F1” **

On many range models that indicates a problem in the electronic control itself but could be caused by other problems depending on the actual model number of the appliance and whom made it for Sears.

** i want to paint my refrigerator black **

There is a black spray paint made specifically for appliances:

** but what do i do with the rubber seal? **

    Leave it alone.

** can i paint [the rubber seal] with a brush **

I wouldn’t recommend you touch it at all. Models with different color door gaskets are made from that color material not colored afterward. I don’t know of any paint that would last on rubber material… for long and it would likely end up looking worse than before.

** WE tried what you said **

You mean actually investigating the damper mechanism?

    ** it didn’t do any good. **

Looking at the damper would be required to try to determine the cause of its malfunction. Whatever the problem turned out to be would then have to be corrected. Just the act of looking at it is unlikely to correct the condition.

Was the pump removed from the motor and if so, was it reinstalled properly and still on the motor shaft?

If that’s not the problem the pump may have been damaged in the process and need to be replaced. If there is nothing clogging its hoses and is being turned by the motor, I can’t think of any other possible cause.

    ** model # C110773000 **

That appears to be a *Canadian* Kenmore product. Sears Canada does not make parts lists available to the general public for their models so I have no way of looking up to see what appliance design your dealing with to formulate educated answers.

You may have to contact Sears Canada (or call an appliance technician) to see if they can help. Sorry.

** [soap dispenser lid won’t open.] Also dishes placed on the front 1/2 of the upper wash rack don’t get cleaned very well. Will fixing the dispenser issue help get the dishes cleaner? **

If the reason they’re not cleaning well is lack of detergent, possibly.

** would there be a second problem here? **

That could be a possibility as well but could be as simple as a rack loading problem.

** Not sure what the exact parts required **

Finding out for sure would be a start. Maybe it just needs attention like a pilot needing cleaning, etc.???

** I’m finding out that the parts are very difficult to obtain **

Many of the functional parts may be able to be substituted or even repaired (see “Restoration” in the ‘Appliance Links’ section of my web site linked below) if needed. You can likely forget about any trim parts or panels, etc. although those might be able to be fabricated.

I’m pretty sure repairing it will likely be easier than finding a whole replacement. I suggest you look into finding out what’s wrong with it and then go from there.

Alternately, you might try checking RV dealers to see if anything like your stove is used in RV’s.

    ** I’m looking for a Glenwood gas stove w/side heater. **

I haven’t seen such an appliance design on the market in years. I’m not even sure if they make such a thing anymore. You could periodically check eBay (see the following link).

    – Stove/Heater Combinations
    LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/data.php?ebtitle=gas+stove+heater

BTW. Those units were also sold under the “Caloric” brand (a sister brand to Glenwood) and maybe other brand names as well. You probably shouldn’t limit your search to any one brand.

Can the unit you have not be repaired? What’s wrong with it??

** [maytag side by side] model # MSD2656KGB. [The stuff in the refigerator has started freezing and it doesn’t seem to matter what temperature I set either the freezer or the fridge on.] **

There is an air damper (see the following link) that controls the flow of air between the compartments which results in temperature control of the refrigerator compartment.

    – Maytag MSD2656KGB Air Damper
    LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/data.php?rc=1187130

That damper may be ‘stuck’ open by ice, etc. or defective or the control may not be telling the damper to operate when it should. That damper mechanism would likely need to actually be inspected as a first step in trying to isolate the cause of your symptom.

** that was the number she gave me. **

Someone will need to look on the appliance’s identification tag for the proper model number. There is no way for us to find out what appliance design you’re dealing with without it. Any advice given could only be guesses otherwise.

** I am still trying to determine why the fridge part is freezing. **

An air damper is likely an area needing actual investigation… depending on the actual design of the refrigerator in question.
