Number 12842123 is the *part number* for the owner’s manual itself (look at the bottom of the first or last page of the manual). It is not the appliance’s *model number* (which will only be found right on the appliance itself).

Did you notice the rest of the model numbers listed on the page you linked to? MSD…, MZD… That is how the OP’s model number should start.

** [Maytag side by side] model number 12842123 **

I’ve never seen a Maytag model number that is all numbers. They usually start with at least 3-letters, “M” (for Maytag) usually being the first.

Where are you getting that model number from???

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

    – Model Number Tag Location Guide
    LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/parts/tagsearch.cgi

Once you supply the correct model number we can look up to see what components your fridge uses which might cause your stated symptom. An air damper may be a possibility although I doubt it is the design that LG linked to. That part design was used on much older refrigerator models than a 2006 model.

** I changed the door liner due to a split and the door liner clears the door frame by at least a 1/8″. I’ve adjusted the hinge out to make sure the liner clears the frame but still the closing problem. **

Did you reinstall the door gasket properly? Often it is only magnetic on 3-sides. The un-magnetic side does between the hinges.

After loosening the liner screws, the door can fail to hang plumb causing closing issues. You can read about adjusting the door for that at the following link.

    – Refrigerator Door Gasket Replacement
    LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/links/jump.cgi?ID=608

But someone *on the scene* is going to have to determine WHY the door isn’t closing. Once you tell us that we may be able to suggest solutions.

** Check the phone book **

You can also check with area used car dealers and car rental companies to see whom they use or can recommend. The professional jobs I’ve seen done were nearly undetectable afterward.

I don’t know how that particular model is mounted. You could could try contacting Sears to see if they can supply installation instructions which you can follow in reverse.

The page at the following link shows how to install some OTR models. It might be close to yours or at least give you some ideas?

** Craftsman radial arm saw model 315.8000. Sears gave a part number (KMM11160608I15977LOKM) for the brushes, but does not support the item any more **

Craftsman models starting with 315… were apparently made by Ryobi. You could try one of their dealers or taking the brushes (or the whole thing) to an electric motor repair shop and I’m sure they can probably come up with something to replace them.

** Want to know how to remove a drop in stove/oven **

Get the appliance’s brand name and model number (see the following link) and then check the manufacturer’s web site or with them directly to see if that model’s installation instructions are available. You can then follow the instructions in reverse.

A problem with the lid switch will often cause your symptom. Someone would likely need to check its functioning and physical condition.

    ** kenmore 70 series washer **

I’m afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number (“70 Series” isn’t it). If you post it we can look it up to see what appliance design you’re dealing with.

That model number is incomplete. The complete model might be 721.80524500

** The handle microwave door broke. How do I replace it. I don’t see any screws to remove. **

I can’t say specifically for that model as I’ve never worked on one but often the inner door cover is removed to access handle screws of other models.

** [GE washer] model # WBSE3120B1WW. When the [tub] fill up you hear the pump running. **

The pump should only run to drain water from the machine.

** When it gets full of enough water to engage the cycle for agitating you hear a humming for about 2 minutes then it stops like it has a saftey trip switch. **

The motor might be cutting out on its internal overload protector. That might be caused by a problem in the transmission of in the motor itself.

It would need investigation to try to determine which might be the cause.

** went to your link but that is for the ice maker **

The link I left is to the wiring diagram for the *whole* refrigerator. The icemaker is just one component labeled on that diagram along with defrost heater, a freezer fan, a condenser fan or compressor which are all components of the refrigerator.

It doesn’t however look to include a wiring diagram for the dispenser mechanism part itself.

** it says for fountain go to service manual PN16009103 **

That manual is superseded by part # 16010154 which is available at the following link:

Can you hear the motor running at that time?

    Will it still spin?

** You can hear it trip **

I don’t know what you mean by “trip”.

** Is there a reset switch on it to fix this problem? **

There is no “reset switch” on any major appliance, no.

    ** Kenmore 80 Series washer model # 100.23812100 **

That model number is incorrect. I found a listing for a model 110.23812100 maybe that it?

** the washer gets to the rinse cycle and about half way through stops never drains or spins **

If the timer stops advancing right at that point and never moves on to spin (where draining also takes place), there may be a problem with the washer’s lid switch.

On that design of washer the lid switch will prevent the timer from advancing into spin unless activated, as a safety precaution. Someone likely needs to look into its condition and operation.

    ** I cannot locate a wiring diagram anywhere. **

There should have been one in or on the appliance when it left the factory. On older models it was often pasted to the rear of the cabinet. On slightly newer models it was often rolled or folded up behind the kickplate on in the area behind. On newer models they are now often inside the control console.

If it is definitely no longer in the appliance you can see it at the following link:

    – Admiral HMG611390 Wiring Diagram
    LINK > http://tinyurl.com/35wz3vu

Other than that you’d have to try contacting the manufacturer (Maytag/Whirlpool) to see if they can supply a replacement.
