DanOParticipant
** the model is VF737488757. **
As I stated previously what you posted looks to be the *serial* number NOT the *model* number. It is the *brand name* along with the *model* number that is needed to identify the appliance in question.
** I have a [gas] oven that was working sometimes it doesn’t. It is unreliable **
You can read about the tests and observations necessary to attempt to make a diagnosis on gas oven functioning at the link below.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** it started working again. **
That’s a good thing because what you posted looks like a *serial number* not a *model number* which is what is needed to properly identify the appliance in question.
If you need help again, please supply all the needed information in your post. Also, don’t scrimp on the problem description either. The more detailed the better.
Good luck!

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipantWe are happy to try to assist you with your appliance queries but in order to give informed replies we need enough details to do so.
When posting your appliance question please supply the appliance’s BRAND NAME and exact and complete MODEL NUMBER as only found right on the appliance itself.
You can find help on locating the model and serial number identification tag on your major home appliances at the following link:
– Model Number Tag Location Guide
LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/parts/tagsearch.cgiNext, as complete a description of the problem as is possible will also help.

Sears shows no listing for such a model number. Can you double check it?
When you do, try the Sears PartsDirect web site to look it up and to see if a manual is still available for it.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** The link for the pdf needed the dot after the 790 manufacturer’s code. **
Yes, exactly as you posted in your first message. Is that not the way it is written on the range’s identification tag?
DanOParticipant** I have a Kenmore range, model # 790.95201103 with a broken interior glass in the door. I need to take this door off to repair it, I can’t see how it comes off. **
The description Doug gave is pretty close although on your model there looks to be a screw at the base of each hinge on the door that has to be removed first.
Removal of the door is covered in the owner’s manual on page 18. If you no longer have the manual a PDF copy can be downloaded from the following link. (BTW your range model was made by Frigidaire).

Replacement parts for your model can be found at numerous online retailers. You can see actual pictures of the replacement inner door glass for your model at several of the following links.

DanOParticipant** fireplace insert has a broken glass in the door. Where and how cane we acquire a replacement glass along with the insulation strip? **
Try a local fireplace company. They can likely get a glass cut to size and tempered and also supply the gasket.

DanOParticipant** [Kenmore selfcleaning oven model 665.4493390] When I lock the door and hit the clean button, it displays a message that the door is not closed. **
I agree with Bruno that there may either be a problem with one of the switches of the door latching mechanism (see the following link) or maybe the latch mechanism has gotten bent. Has anyone tried to force the latch or open the door while it was still locked?

LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/data.php?ap=AP3119494In any case the oven will likely need to be opened up and the latch mechanism inspected for problems.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** The book says it is either a model number 4493390 or 4493310. **
Those are parts of two different model numbers. The only reliable place it will be found is right on the appliance’s identification tag.
You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** They pretty much said that the “pop” sound is the metal expanding when it’s heated. **
That’s often referred to as ‘oil canning’. If that is the sound check to make sure the oven bottom panel is in place properly. It might become slightly dislodged from shipping vibrations and flexing as it heats.
Also, the sound might be that of burner itself igniting with a whoosh.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** I am trying to replace the light bulb in my 1961 Hotpoint wall oven, model number 10RL35-C. **
The oven interior light bulb?
** The bulb I took out has the following notations on it 25W 120V … **
The parts list calls for a standard 40 watt regular base appliance bulb (see the following link). Maybe it was replaced with a different bulb at one time in the past?
– 40W Appliance Bulb
LINK > http://www.appliance411.com/data.php?ap=AP3607217** I am also looking for the guard that goes over the bulb **
I doubt you’ll find such a part for that age of product. The guard’s original part # was 311420 which was most recently replaced by GE part # WB2X5129 which is no longer listed anywhere so quite likely obsolete and all old stock of it has been exhausted.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** amana tc22kw top freezer refrigerator **
We would also need the unit’s manufacturing (MFG) number from its identification tag to properly identify it.
** is leaking periodically from a top front vent in the ceiling of the refrigerator compartment. obviously a defrost drain clog. **
Quite possibly.
** i have no idea where the drain tube is located. **
It starts directly beneath the evaporator (cooling) coil which on your model is behind the rear panel inside the freezer compartment.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** The [ice cube bin] doesnt have cubes in it. Its a solid block of ice **
It sounds like the icemaker may be overfilling and that excess water leaks into the ice cube bin beneath, where it freezes into a block along with any cubes that are there.
That can happen in two different ways:
1. The icemaker could be powering the water fill valve for too long (ie. defective icemaker).
2. Water could be continuing to leak into the icemaker cube mould after a fill should have stopped. That could be due to a defective water fill valve on the back of the fridge or poor water pressure to the fridge.
Some investigation will be required to try to determine which might be responsible in your case.

=D~~~~~~DanOParticipant** I need to replace a “Thermo Disk” **
“Thermodisc” is just a brand name of a whole line of thermostatic controls. We would need to see which particular design yours is and then get the temperature specifications of it (usually printed right on the part) before we could suggest where a replacement might be found.
If you can upload a picture of it somewhere and then link to it in a message here we may be able to suggest a replacement.
