I don’t know where you live, but I would love to live there if it only costs a couple of bucks. I know how to work on this lock, a few years ago i had the same problem, and replaced the cylinder and it was as you say…simple. I bought the cylinder from a locksmith after bringing the old one to compare. its the same company TSS. I did manage to get the 6 o’ clock appearance and no keys were broken and i never said that the keys don’t work. They did work up to the point of being able to turn them and remove them. In my area, there is a locksmith a block away from where i live, and he wanted to charge me just to walk that one block and see what is the problem…so don’t go around assuming this and that. I am a person that would like to tackle things and when they become impossible than i call for service. I did it once and i thought i could do it again, under similar circumstances. Even getting rekeyed, does not guarantee for that bolt to open and close like it should.

Installing a front door mortise lock with a bolt…step by step if possisble would be nice. A tin backsplash for the kitchen. Preparing a wall in bathroom where the old wallpaper was removed by one or two swift peelings. Preparing to paint it.

sorry, dont understand your statement about the key..Shouldn’t the key in a normal installation, turn that bolt on and off? Is it possible that I made the cylinder too tight..maybe counterturn it one time? The problem now, is that with this hot weather heat wave, my hands are too moist even after drying them to rotate that cylinder anymore…

HI, thanks for your reply. I went ahead and bought another cylinder and installed it…but i cannot get the bolt to lock. Is there a special thing I have to do, to get the bolt to work? I cannot make the cylinder any tighter. Does this have anything to do with that one long screw that goes into the mortise section?

Actually my laminated flooring would go over my vynl flooring, just like the show had displayed…even the narrator said, no underlayment needed. But my OP was based on has anyone heard of this laminated floor that has a cork backing.

they are extremely light.until you snap the battery on.
the battery is what make them heavy.corded is lighter.more power and cost less.
the same apply as what was said a month ago.>>>

I think you got my message in reverse. Read it again..I said that I foung the cordless drill lighter than the corded one..LOL

Thanks for the info…as far as the Dremel, the video shows it screwing in wood a 3″ tops screw and reverse it to. I went to Lowes this morning just to check out the cordless and the corded, and to my surprise, the cordless is lightweight as compared to the corded ones.. Unfortunately, I got pretty tired holding that corded one in a very short time. I’m a senior. Any reason why they are heavier?

Alomg with the features arready mentioned look for one that stops immediatley as well. Sounds crazy, but mine does not and it is annoying.>>>

Thanks…how does one know about it stopping immediately as you say? Is it on the box? Home depot salesmen are illiterate in my area…sorry to say..not like the TV commercials.

Well, yes since I had a kitchen faucet reinstalled after installing a new countertop. Now, your getting too technical for me with this anti/scald/check valve in shower. I may have that how do I know for sure? Regardless, this is not happening when someone else is showering.

have you recently disconnected the supply tubes for any reason, sir?>>>

Well yes, but that was a few days ago…obviously, I have connected it since and to this day, it seems to happen after using the hot water for cleaning and then maybe want a glass of cold water..have to wait a good minute or so in running it for it to actually be drinkable.
