I don’t understand your post. The red and blue wires are coming from the area of where the switch and socket are, not from the transformer ( ballast ). I do not want to attach anything to the florescent fixture.

Thanks, but there are only 2 wires making contact with that ballast…is the blue wire a neutral? A red wire ( Hot ) is connected to a black wire ( hot)of the ballast and the blue wire goes straight to the end of the florescent…so please, is that blue wire a neutral? If so, how can it be tested?

Sorry your are correct of course.Never noticed sparks even when all were working. I have the manual and that is what was on the manual, those 2 model numbers..good for both models. Why would they put those numbers only on the front cover of the manual?
Here are the model numbers from the tag inside the fridge. HTS18GBSARWW
Serial LM758976 I just bought it this year. Do u think I may still have a warranty, if I can’t fix myself? Thank you for your interst:)

The model is Hotpoint RGB744 or 745. I hear the ignition but no flames. When i l lit it with a match, it comes on. As far as I looked, it is not removable the top where the 4 burners are located. Thanks

sometimes it helps to dry them out in the oven.>>>

What? Dry what in the oven? As far as I know those round lighters are inbedded into the surface of the stove. The manual says sometimes the hole gets clogged and so stick a needle into it and clear it. Thats just what I did. It says nothing about removing them and put them in the oven. Also, aren’t they connected electrically?

Okay, couldn’t think of the simple word switch…it is a pushbutton switch. Apparently the previous owner or whoever installed this switch went by the fact that they are short, too short to snip off as you suggested,so that was why they used that switch. I guess i could extend them with an additional inch or two and use an up and down switch.

    To Hanyman

Can you tell me how I could check my Cookies to see what your talking about? I found the folder and all I see is txt files with certain dates. I must have my cookies enabled, otherwise how come there are other forums and sites that i visit that I do not have to constantly sign in..it somehow remembers…so aren’t my cookies taking care of that?

I don’t see that ad your talking about. Is there a way to get rid of it? Also, in order for me to reply to you, it seems I have to log in all the time. Is this true? In other forums, when a person replies, one does not have to sign in all the time.

I spoke to Maytag tech and he said a good way to find out is to disengage the drainage tube of the dishwasher from the kitchen drain and run the dw with the tube in a large pail. If it runs fast and clear than the problem is the sink, if it doesn’t than it might likely be the pump of the dw. I had it for about 6 years. Do pumps go bad at that short rate..especially one with the notoriety of a Maytag make?
