Yes, I will be plugging this into a emergency backup transfer switch – does this make the whoe conversation moot? If I plug into a transfer switch, there will be no extra ground needed? I have several friends who have transfer switch setups, and they have never mentioned a separate ground wire…

The fitting around the expansion tnk appears corroded – that is probably the issue…

I appreciate it. I modified the bathroom vents upstairs that were venting moist warm air into the attic- now they vent totally outside, and they are sealed from venting into the attic. In just one day, things were dried out, and I added a leyer of insulation for good measure.

I actually replaced mine with a new Neptune (I know, I know-why?). It lasted a few months, and something blew up (I actually think it was because of a power surge-ooops). Anyway, I bought an LG front loader – what a difference! Great machine!
