    the previous owner just painted over and it chipped off and what didn’t come off, had stains coming through.

    We power washed and scraped all the loose paint and invested in the best primer. Then we painted the house. That was 10 years ago and the paint is still holding up well.

    It’s a personal decision. All the other houses in the area were light colored and houses with the dark cedar shakes looked dated and old.

    My wheelbarrow is beginning to rust, so I’d have to deal with that issue before sealing it.

    My toolbox is a old metal hand-me-down from my dad. I think I’ll coat at least the bottom of it to protect from more scratches.

    I can also see using this on metal storage shelves to protect the shelf and keep things from sliding off.
