    Thanks much, that paints a clear picture for me to go by. If I need to, I can easily set the supporting posts onto the foundation through the floor since it is all out in the open in the basement below, and the stone foundation is about 2 1/2 feet wide under that part of the house. Thanks again.

    There is probably rust or scale plugging the bleeders. Is it possible to work a fine wire into the bleeder as it is open? Also, make sure there is water being circulated to the units. In our old house there are valves used to control the water flow to the upstairs radiators so we can conserve heat in colder weather when no one is using the upstairs. Hope this helps. TedK
