Yes I have an aluminum threshold. I’ve caulked the seams on the outside of the threshold between the jam and threshold. I’ve also resealed the outside of the threshold using stucco cement. Before I install a storm door, do you think it would be worth the try in ripping up the threshold and replacing it proberly? Thanks again. John Silvestri

No, the water does not come in from under the door. Water does not pool up near or around the door. I dug around were the slab connects to the house and found some gaps. I sealed the gaps with cement and coated the cement with a good cement sealer – I donnot think it comes from the slab. I suspect the rain comes in from the space between the door and the jam. If I’m right I can try replacing the wheather stripping but I’m not sure that would work. Is there some kind of wheather stripping I could use to cover the space between the door and the jam? Thanks for your prompt reply. John Silvestri
