I too have heard of putting a zinc strip on the peak of the roof to prevent moss from forming. I’ve had a least two hardware stores recommend it. (Of course they sell the strips.) I purchased a roll of zinc stripping years ago which I still have. I just haven’t put on the roof yet. My feeling is that it will work, but I don’t have any first hand knowledge. If anyone knows about this please let us know.
