Zinc strips are ok after the moss has been removed, but not before. In some climates zinc reacts to aluminum gutters and causes pin holes to develope.(electrolysis) so be careful. There are a few good chlorine free moss removal products made just for roofs. Try Roof Reviver or Moss Off. Never spray chlorine bleach on the outside of your home. Don’t try to scrape the moss off, the granules will come with it.
