Sorry, I am math challeged.
Could someone give me a ballpark figure on how much electric (in dollars) it cost to keep a an attic fan running and keeping the roof at 95 degrees.
Are we talking less than $2 a day or $5 a day?
I know there are variables. Where you live and cost of electricity. I just want a ballpark figure say – for around New Haven, Conn. Really, any ballpark figure anywhere is appreciated.
albertshawParticipantThank you for your insight.
Does this mean a problem? I haven’t signed the contract yet. I have the house carefully inspected by a housing inspector. He said that there is nothing structurally wrong. But now I am worried.

albertshawParticipantCarbon monoxide danger. I totally agree with the previous poster. I just want to stress – in case it is not clear to you – that this can be a life threatening situation. I hope it is nothing major but I would shut the furnace down. Good luck.
albertshawParticipantThanks for your explaination.
The house is cheap for its size – so I want to buy it. It is basically sound except for this bow window.
Bow window because it is 3 feet off the ground on the inside of the house. you can put a plant on the ledge but you would have to jump to even try to sit on it. There are all sorts of minor problems but noting major – house is sound. not leaking. New. But it is not falling down or anything.
