Is it possible to cut real wood mini-blinds. The blinds in our house are mounted on the outside of the windows, and they not only look unsightly (because some of them hang out beyond the window as much as 6″), but they aren’t extremely funcitonal because they’re too close to the blinds hanging in the window next to them. The people who installed them before we moved in must have wanted to save money by buying these blinds “off the rack.” We have room to mount the blinds inside the windows, but of course they’re way to wide. CAN THEY BE CUT?

      Hi Debbie,
Yes you can cut real wood mini blinds down. But you are limited on how far you can go. If you look at the main bracket at the top of the blinds you will be able to see how much you can cut off both ends. My first lot of mini timber blinds I took to a blind maker to cut for me. The next lot I did myself, but you need a jigsaw and cramps to hold them still while you cut. Hope it works out OK for you. Noelene
