We bought our home this yr in April. The entire 1st floor is oak wood. I have noticed that a lot of the planks are bowed. My floor almost looks like a sea of small waves. It is in large areas but not all the floor. I have never had wood floors before and don’t know what to make of this. Is this normal settling of the floor. Is this something that I should bring to the builders attention.
when doing a wood floor you should leave a gap between the floor and wall to leave room for floor to expand with humidity and weather. I’ll bet in some areas there is no gap
