  What’s the difference between a replacement window and a new construction window?

  A replacement window is installed without removing all of the trim and the frame.
  
  A new construction window requires the removal of the interior and exterior trim and the frame.
  
  Generally new construction windows cost more because they take longer to install and require new trim.
