  I have a Whirlpool model GS6SHAXMB00
  that is not making ice, I have water to the drinking water spiket but unit is not making cubes..
  any ideas.

  sometimes they freeze in place. Or an ice cube gets jammed.
  
  Be sure the icemaker is set to “on”
  
  And there could be ice sitting in the tray.
  
  If you feel inside the tray where the ice is made they should be full of ice prepared for when the lever is either down or unit gets low on ice
