We are currently having a new home built. We have had 2 days of heavy rain, and our house has a roof but no siding. The drywall was just put up before the rain and now much of it was wet, mostly coming through the walls and ceiling of main floor. It is now supposed to be hot for 3 days or so and the builder says it will dry out if all windows and door are left open. We are worried about mold and also whether or not this is ok from a construction stand point? Does wet drywall dry out?

that depends on if you are in an area with vapor barrier plastic on the inside behind the drywall.
but your insulation is now wet and better to remove all the drywall and temporarily remove the insulation to allow it to dry out, instead of holding water for 1 month or more and allowing mold to grow in the wood.

drywall will dry out in probably 2 or 3 days but you still have a builder who does not want to pay the bill for his mistake of drywalling before siding was applied……

a few drips here and there are ok. Dripping wet drywall that has soaked all the way through is garbage. Basically go with what your gut tells you. Tell your builder that the roof goes up first, then the windows and exterior walls and doors, then the rough plumbing, electrical and HVAC, and then the drywall. It is almost the last thing you do. The floor being last and the kitchen cabinets being even more last.
