water or moisture stains on fir flooring

Hi,
I recently purchased a home with fir flooring throughout, however in certain areas
the former owner left plants sitting on the floor and there are dark water stains. Is there a way to get rid of them? I suspect it may mean refinishing the floor.

You might try some household bleach diluted with three parts wate and see if that lightens the stain. use sparingly and test on a small area.
