I am about to install a new vanity and counter top. The vanity is to be installed in the corner of a 1/2 bath, but the counter top has a about an inch overlap to the vanity on the left side where it will meet the wall. I realize I will have to trim that gap out, but what is the proper installaion for this. Should I dry fit everything 1st and then mount the vanity? Please help.

I did the same thing about a year ago. I attached the filler strip to the cabinet with biscuits, and then scribed it to the wall. Then mounted the vanity and installed the top last.
