we have a new house with a deep whirlpool tub. if we overfill the tub we find water on the basement floor. my question – is the overflow supposed to go int a drain or leak like it does?
The overflow in a normal tub is connected to the tub drain under the tub. If the connections aren’t tight at the outlet from the tub and the inlet to the drain pipe, that may be your problem. Or the overflow may be defective.
