I poured water on the hole in the basement until the sump pump was completely submerged. It is a submerable model.
I don’t see any action. There is electricity going into the pump.
I don’t see a float or anything. So I guess I just go and buy another one.
How much power do I need? I figure 1/3 horsepower. I want to spend less than $200. Apparently, the sump pump have not turned on in years. I am not in a wet place.
Any advice?
