String trimmer line

My Echo trimmer works great – except the spinning line creates so much wind the grass is pushed down. Making it hard to cut anything.

Anyone with an insight on how to cure this.

My guess is to buy a thinner trimmer line. Thinner line – less wind. Just a guess here.

Advice appreciated.

I assume this is a gas trimmer.
What my neighbor does is trim his grass with the engine at idle or just slightly above idle. It seems to trim just as well for grass, and doesn’t make nearly the noise.
