      I pulled old, old contact paper from kitchen cupboard shelves. There is a sticky film left and I have tried to get it off with many things. Nothing worked. Help please!

      have you tried goof off?

      It would help it you posted whet the “many things” are so that others can recommend things that you have not tried.

      I have tried goof off, mineral spirits, vinegar, Awesome, a generic degreaser, Mr. Clean, Fantastic, and Murphy’s Oil soap.
