  I have two windows side by side in my kitchen and a deck on the other side of that wall. Has anyone had any experience replacing windows with doors? I’ve done window with window replacements.. and door with door replacements. Just not window to door!
  
  Any comments would be helpful.

  Watch for wires in the wall under the window and plan to hire someone to move them. Is your window RO width the same as your patio door’s RO?
