After hurricane Katrina, I noticed my roof lost about 10-12 clay tiles (the barrel type ones); I do have the replacement tiles, but I cannot seem to find a roof specialist willing to replace only a few tiles. I have decided to do it myself, but do not know how to replace roof tiles.
Can somebody explain to me how to perform this task?
My son is a roofer and said that if at all possable to wait till somebody will help to do it right as it is pretty tricky..You may not only fall but you will most likely break several tiles and chances are will not get it done right and have to get someone to come fix your prob anyway–besides the fact your wife will get mad and break your neck to boot! If it was just shingle ..go for it but tile and shakes have to be done just right. Good Luck
