I am planning to acid stain the concrete floor in my living room, dining room, and kitchen. I want the floor in the rooms to flow.

Problem: I have ceramic tile in Kitchen. When I remove it, the concrete floor will be scarred.

Question: How can I remove the tile with minor scarring, and how can I fix/patch the scars?

Any tips? The tile must go!(ugly)

I think you will have a difficult time removing all of the grout, tile, adhesive, etc. and when you mar the concrete it will take a lot of work from you stamping contractor to make it flow. You will need a real artist to hide the patched concrete areas. What attracts you to stamped concrete?

There are thin concrete overlays that can be used in situations like this to give you a fresh surface for decorative treatments.
