How can I remove the old glazing on wood windows? I have started, but, of course, the stuff is hard and stubborn. I see on the site they said a “propane torch and putty knife” NOT a good idea, I think, with wood windows!? Do people use glazing compound or caulk when re-doing the windows? I have seen both on the site. The part that said to use the propane torch said to use glazing compound.

The idea is to get the old glazing warm not to melt it off..If it gets warm it will mostly come off. I would us glazing to reinstall the window too
