I have recently purchased my first home and am planning on removing the kitchen carpeting (yuck, I know) which has been laid over lanolium. I have pulled up the carpeting, but the pad underneath is glued to the vinal that is below it (even nastier than the carpeting). Could you please suggest a solution to removing this padding off from the vinal? I know that I may have to resort to just some elbow grease and scrapers, but I am hoping of an easier solution. Please help……

Thanks for your ideas. I will scrape and use lots of elbow grease.

      Thanks again!
