      My wife and I just put the stain down on our floors. We sanded the floors 3xs with progressively finer grits as recomneded. After the stain dried we still have some shinny spots where it looks as if the previous finish was not fully removed. Do I need to resand, or am I going to be ok after adding the Polyurytane?

      Is the color even? If the original finish was not removed in spots the stain will not have taken in those areas as much as others. I would definitley not proceed until I was certain the stain meet my satisfaction.
