Whenever I’ve glued pvc pipe I’ve used clear cleaner and then the glue now at work there is a job where the guys use the clear cleaner then a purple primer then the glue. Whats the purple for and have I been doing it wrong all these years? Never had a leak tho. Thanks guys Hawk
I have used both method of connecting pvc pipe and eached worked well. Some AHJ require using the purple primer by the professional contractors so that the inspectors can tell if a primer/cleaner was used. Maybe the regualars on this forum can respond more about it.
