I want to replace my falling down 1927 built garage with a quick and easy prefab. I live in south east michigan. Any help?

Down here in Texas, we have a home center called Payless Cashways. They have other stores named different names in other states.

Anyway,
They do sell prefab garages and barns, and whatever buildings.

They come in kits ready to go, or you can hire someone to do the project.

Actually, it is very easy if you have some basic carpentry skills.

Is it required to pour a footing with a slab in

order to build a 2 car garage. I was going to pour

a 20’x20′ 4″ thick slab with reinforced rebar and

built a 2″x4″ framing with 5/8″ plywood sheathing

building to house two antique vehicles.

Can I avoid using a footing or perhaps pour a

thicker slab or concrete? Please advise.

Do you have any ideas as to where I might find a company near by that makes prefab garages.

A 24’x 24′ cement slab is in place. The location is near Clearlake California. Thank you for your help.

You can find hundreds of sites if you go to Yahoo.com and enter “portable garage”. Just be sure that you check the prices as they all have different prices and many have exactly the same products.
