We are remodeling a 130 year old three story farm house and have gutted
the floors for new electic and plumbing. The plumber thinks 1/2 copper is
plenty of size, but I can’t help to think that 1/2 will give more pressure and
volume as the pipes have to run from basement to 3rd floor (four floors). Any input?
      Thanks!

run 3/4 trunk lines reduce to 1/2 for the supply
line. if you have 3 floors 1/2 will not give the
volume of water you will need, if you have a draw
      on a lower floor.
