Picture frame

I would like to try and build a picture frame for my son and daughter, they both have souvenirs items that would look good in a deep glass window frame, ex. my daughter has been in dancing for over 6 years and has done many competitions, she has medals, her very first dancing shoes ect.. My son has been in hockey for 14 years and also has a lot of memorabilia from tournements and more could anyone help me with the procedure of building such frames?

Lynne, how about something like a shadow box. They are used for the purpose that you need. Below is a URL that tells how to make them, You will have to adjust the dimensions for your needs and you could put a frame around the opening with a glass insert, also. Hope this will get you started.
