Pex piping

Whats your opinion on PEX pipes?

It’s supposed to be good.

A while back I was ready to buy the stuff to start using/working with pex and got to talking to a plumber about it.

He bad mouthed it and steered me away.

I don’t know.

My plumber converted to PEX and I had a bath remodeled a year or so ago. He used PEX and I will give you my take.

1. Cheaper than copper
2. Faster to install
3. Not as pretty to the eye as copper, in that it’s not all straights lines.
4. No leaks to date.
5. Water looks the same coming out of the faucet.
