I want to have a 400 sq ft. Patio put in my backyard. The pavers I like are 16X16 and cost about $5.95 a pcs. My problem is I donot know how many pavers I need. Can someone help or give me the formula so I might figure this out.
      Thanks

Each paver is 16 X 16 div. by 144= 1.78 sq. ft. Dividing your 400 sq. ft. patio by 1.78 = 224.7, or 225 pavers. Add to this 23 (10%) for loss and you should purchase 248 pavers. Most suppliers will take back unused items.
