I have entry doors that are fiberglass, which were stained to look like wood. They are only 4 years old. Now the ‘stain’ is peeling off very badly. What can I use to ‘redo’ what was done wrong?
They were not done wrong, it’s just a fact of life. If the sun hits your door if or you have a full glass storm door in front of the door, the sun will bake the finish. Since the door is full of foam it collects the heat and the surface gets very hot—hot paint,stain of varnish just breaks down. The uv rays will also kill your finish within a few years.
