Paint odor & vanilla

I heard that putting vanilla extract in paint eliminates the paint odor to a degree. Can anyone tell me how much vanilla to add to a gallon of water based flat paint?

It is an interesting question which I never heard of but doing a search, here is some of the results.

If oil base paint use two teaspoons/gallon.

If latex paint use a couple of drops/gallon. If it is white or ivory, use 1 drop of lemon extract/gallon.
