I recently painted the interior moldings with white oil based paint. Now they all turned yellow.
Can I paint over them with white latex? Or do I have to strip off the oil paint

      Thanks

Sounds like you got some bad paint that didn’t get mixed properly, or the pigment was bad.

You CAN paint over oil based paint with either another oil-based paint, or with acrylic latex paint. You cannot paint oil over latex though. Just give the surface a light scuffing with a sanding block, so the paint will adhere better. Or if you wish, you can sand all the old paint off and start over. It’s your choice.
