Noisy Ceiling fan

My bedroom ceiling fan, a Hampton Bay – Harbor Light (Model-790-?) has begun to make a rythmic scraping noise. All outside screws are tight. If I move the single centered light fixture and shaft back and forth I can make the scraping stop for a short time, but it always returns. Is my fan motor just worn out from use or is there a probable fix?

has a similar problem where the screws holding the blade arms to the motor housing had worked loose alowing the arm to scrape on the housing.
tightening the screws solved the problem for me.
