Is there any other accepted method besides using epoxy to to reline/replace a residential sewer line? Any experiences?

There is no ‘accepted method’ to reline an existing sewer line.

Only accepted method is to dig it up and replace it.

but sewer relining’s done all the time by municipalities on trunk lines,,, your pipe’s too small,,, dig & replace.

where’d you hear of epoxy repairs ?

Down here in Orlando neighborhoods with mature trees filling city lots……we’re often seeing Roto-Rooter use a hydraulic pipe bursting technique to replace old Clay and Orangeburg sewer lines……

This Old House; East Boston Project used the epoxy reline method….

if it were my house, we’d be digging,,, relining’s no good for corrugated or orangeburg – only ductile & reinforced cement concrete pipe ( rccp ),,, cost is another reason, too – municipalities would much rather cut & cover however that’s in a perfect world,,, meld traffic control & interruptions + underground obstructions ( utilities, etc ) & its easy to see why relining’s popular under the right conditions.
