Which is better; hardwood vs. tile flooring? I have 2 indoor dogs who tend to use the bathroom inside. I also have a pool and the kids tend to come inside still wet. I live in Houston which tends to be humid most of the time. PLease help me decide. Thanks
* Wood will expand with moisture
* Wood will stain with dog poop 1 or 2
* Wood will rot with wet or humid conditions.
* I was born in Houston and it’s a wonder I don’t have webbed feet…
* Ceramic Tile with the grout lines sealed is your best bet, in my humble opinion…

I have 3 kids and a swimming pool, tiles are the way to go. When choosing the tiles please make sure they are safe to walk on when they are wet, you know what its like, know matter how many times you tell your kids “Don’t Run” they always do.
There are anti-slip tiles you can buy or have an Anti-Slip treatment done to the tiles.
