Need ideas to enclose ugly heater pipes

I am looking for ideas to cover ugly pipes that go up the wall above my heater. The pipes get very hot and I cannot use a window curtain when the heater is in use. Hopefully photo will show up – Click below to enlarge…

as long as the pipes are not chimney pipes they will not catch a curtain on fire unless the cutain is plastic will melt.

Cover the pipes with fiberglass steam pipe insulation from the plumbing supply, then cut aluminum rain gutter downspout down one side and place over the pipes. Paint to suit.
